At Community Villages INC, we strive to bring people together and create a sense of belonging and connection within our communities. Here are some resources we have gathered to help reach this goal!
Community Concern for Cats is a volunteer-based cat rescue organization that helps homeless and abandoned cats in Contra Costa County. Their services are rescuing, spay/neuter, medical rehabilitation, and assisting with finding safe homes for the cats!
Jelly’s Place is a non-profit rescue and no-skill shelter located in San Pablo. They provide community education and assistance to low-income pet owners. Some of their services include veterinary care, and placement for abandoned, impounded, sick, or injured dogs and cats.
The Milo Foundation is a foundation whose goal is to rescue adoptable dogs and cats from high-kill animal shelters. The dogs and cats are then placed into homes that will provide them with lifetime care! Their services include: rehabilitating dogs and cats, offering sanctuary to those who aren’t suitable for adoption, and educating the public about responsible pet guardianship.
East Bay SPCA is a non-profit shelter. Their services include veterinary services, adoptions, and education on how to properly care for your pet.
Paw Fund is a clinic whose goal is to close the gap between those who have a lot and those who may not. They help people help their pets and want to provide basic care for all companion animals to benefit everyone! They have free and ‘Pay What You Can’ pet health care. Their services include vaccinations, FREE spay and neuter, wellness clinics, homeless outreach, and advice and support.
Sage Veterinary Centers are hospitals that have five locations throughout the Bay area (from Concord to San Jose). They are a community of board-certified veterinary professionals who provide emergency and specialty care. Their services include orthopedic, neurological, chest and abdominal, reconstructive, oncologic, and minimally invasive surgeries. In addition to that, they provide MRIs, dentistry, and emergency care.
Animal Fix Clinic is a non-profit surgical clinic for cats and dogs. They offer essential surgeries such as spay/neutering at a sliding scale price.
PetVet/PetFood is a vet that also sells pet food. They have two locations, one in El Cerrito and the other in Oakland. Their services include vaccines and exams!
